JCV is Honored to be apart of TRAVEL ELEVATES, which supports global impact travel and Pack for a Purpose, a global nonprofit empowering travelers to make thoughtful contributions with minimal effort. Since 2010, this initiative encourages travelers to dedicate a small portion of their luggage to essential supplies (school, medical, and hygiene items, based on local community needs).

Even the smallest gestures can have a profound impact when travel is approached with heart.

Pack for a Purpose, a simple yet powerful way to make a meaningful impact while traveling.  We encourage travelers to take a few extra steps to empower their own mission for global impact travel: 

Step 1: Search the Destination

Before packing, visit the Pack for a Purpose website and type in your destination into the “Search for a Destination” tool. Instantly, a list of local projects and participating resorts will pop up.

Step 2: Choose an Accommodation

Check the list of accommodations in relationship to your destination.  Many times, you’ll find your hotel/resort listed.  If not, choose a property listed that is close by your hotel/resort.  Once an accommodation is chosen it will list or projects supporting local school, medical clinic and more. 

Step 3: Select Supplies

Once a project is selected, needs are clearly listed like pencils, crayons, notebooks, and basic medical item.  Plan your shopping trip at home before departure to purchase the items in need.

Step 4: Pack and Deliver

Simply tuck the supplies into a small corner of your suitcase when you pack and when you arrive, bring them to the front desk of the designated hotel upon arrival, and the hotel team took care of the rest.

This is the true definition of Global Travel Impact; A trip that leaves you feeling fulfilled, knowing that a small space in her suitcase makes a big difference.
